What does it mean to belong in one’s skin? Laura Toop talks with Dr. Keith.
Thursday Jun 16, 2022
Thursday Jun 16, 2022
This month, I am in conversation with Dr. Keith J. McNally, aka 'The Question Guy'. 👉In search of a place to 'fit in', Dr. Keith realized he didn't really 'fit in' anywhere, that he was a 'misfit', with no place to belong, that was until he ‘owned it’, and the world took on a different frame. 😊Dr Keith shares his observations from the conversations he has been having, and about how, when offering a safe space, without judgment, expectation, or fear, it is possible for people to share and formulate their stories, and that something quite magical begins to happen for them. 🧡They begin to belong more in their own skin. 👉We explore ❓What does it mean to ‘belong in one’s own skin’❓How does it feel when we’re not belonging in our own skin ❓And what can we do, to belong more in our own skinAnd much more.Enjoy the podcast.Remember to join the growing number of listeners to Yowah Radio.Online 24/7 - Bringing the feel-good feeling to every day.

Can a warm drink help slow down dementia?
Friday May 27, 2022

'In her latest episode, Sabine explores why breakfast smoothies can not
only help bereaved people with regaining their energy and stabilising
their mood and emotions. But how this - preferably a warm drink - can also
help elderly people get more nutrients into their body to make them more
mobile and possibly slow down dementia.About Sabine .I am a nutritionist and yoga therapist who primarily works with people who suddenly find themselves on their own and are struggling with looking after themselves well. I help you take back control of your health by addressing your emotional stress, improving your intake of food and fluids, and making you fall in love with cooking for one person (yes - that is possible, believe me!). I will also make sure to address any nutrient deficiencies you may have because of grieving as these can contribute to weight gain, low energy, anxiety, depression and many other health issues after a major loss. One of the first things I always do is check my client's vitamin D levels as these tend to be low in many people and can make coping with the emotional ups and downs of grief so much harder. When we are grieving, we need all the support we can get. Enjoy the podcast.

In this episode of Glass Half Full Steve Twynham is joined by the award-winning Life Coach and youth mentor, on a mission to save students' lives.Andrew shares his personal story that led him to do the work he does.About Andrew:
Hey, There! I’m Andrew.
of The Hyperlites Community Ltd,
Young professional Success Coach, Educator, activist, candle man, healthy living advocate (ironically) Son and friend.
I am a chronic pain thriver. I labeled myself as that because I don’t want anyone to feel bad for me or pity me. I have multiple, varied diagnoses and they make me who I am, but they do not define me. I am so much more. Do you agree that we are more than our labels?
I don’t like being told that I can’t do things.
I was training as a teacher and since qualifying, I have completed an NLP certificate and a Life Coaching certificate. I am now on a mission to help students and young people become assets to the world, not just through employment and skills but by showing them how to look at life holistically.
I am so proud and humbled by the support many have shown me on this enterprise. Since beginning to build this I have been named Community Challenge Champion for the Ingenuity Impact Awards. I am quite chuffed with myself for this as I just joined the programme to help develop the idea – I had no inclination to win anything. I have been developing and building a community for students and young people to not only survive but thrive.

In this episode of Glass Half Full Steve Twynham talks with Joe Templin the author of Everyday Excellence.
If we invest just a bit more of ourselves than that minimum, we can improve daily. Slowly, inexorably, polishing the jewel that is us. It is the little daily sacrifices and choices that compound over years and decades to make us priceless sparkling multifaceted works of nature and nurture. So today, make the better choices. That’s all you have to do. Just do what you should, today.About Joe.
Joe Templin has led an eclectic life.
As one of six kids (the only normal one, he insists) growing up in a small town and spending time on the family farm, Joe’s parents (John and Barb) instilled a love of learning, the outdoors, and a healthy disrespect for authority while still simultaneously embracing traditional values of hard work and “love thy neighbour but mind your own dang business.” This is Joe’s foundation.
He was severely asthmatic but through his work ethic and love of challenge has become a martial artist and ultradistance runner. He had a speech impediment but has built a career around communicating. This habit of overcoming limitations is a theme in his life and his writings.
Joe has three hooligans (Danny, Liam, and Colin) and is a very proud member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, having served multiple times as President of his local Foundation and Chapter Advisor. He has also served on the local, State, and National levels for NAIFA, is a Cubmaster (worst one ever if you ask his boys), and is involved with his local Autism Society. Serving others is important to Joe, because of how his parents raised him.
